In 2024, Qingdao Port of Shandong Port inaugurated 18 new container routes, bringing the total to over 230 routes, thereby ranking first among northern Chinese ports in terms of route density. Since the start of this year, two new “Belt and Road” routes have been launched to Southeast Asia and the Mediterranean, resulting in a total of four new international container routes.
