The installation of elevators for 19 buildings, comprising of 64 units, was being carried out in an orderly manner. In recent years, Licang District of Qingdao City has been prioritizing the resolution of the issue of “difficulty going downstairs” for the people. Through the approach of “government subsidy + residents' self-raising funds”, a total of 589 elevators have been installed for the old housing buildings in the district, with 350 elevators already put into use, benefiting approximately 21,000 residents and significantly improving their happiness index.
