The 2023 Shandong Tourism Development Conference kicked off on March 26, 2023 in Qingdao, Shandong Province. Guests from all walks of life gathered to explore ways for high-quality development of cultural tourism.

The conference is sponsored by the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Shandong Provincial People’s Government, and co-hosted by Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the CPC Qingdao Municipal Party Committee and Qingdao Municipal People’s Government.

The conference focuses on implementing the work plan for the Year of Boosting Consumption, displaying the new achievements of Shandong’s cultural tourism, expanding the way of attracting investment, promoting exchanges and mutual learning at home and abroad, stimulating the market vitality, cultivating the driving forces of industrial development, enhancing the influence of the “Friendly Shandong, Remarkable Shandong” brand, and showing the new image of Shandong to the world.

At the opening ceremony, “Friendly Shandong” tourism ambassadors, advanced counties of culture and tourism industry in Shandong Province in 2022, and the fourth batch of Shandong all-for-one tourism demonstration zones were awarded. At the same time, the signing ceremony of key cultural and tourism projects was held, and the global promotion activities of “Meet the sea along the Yellow River” were launched.
