On October 12th, the international media group for the fourth Qingdao Multinationals Summit visited the automated container terminal of Qingdao Port of Shandong Port Group to appreciate the charm of this smart and green port.

The international media delegation came to the observation platform of the automated terminal communication center at Qingdao Port. The scene before them greatly overturned their impression and memory of port operations. All operations at the terminal are powered by electricity; automated rail cranes use hydrogen power; automated guided vehicles charge in an infinite loop and containers is lifted up into the air... With no noise or pollution, the busy terminal runs smoothly, showcasing the power of intelligence and technology.

Adhering to the concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", Qingdao Port's automated terminal has been pusuring the coordinated development of "energy saving and carbon reduction, pollution prevention and control, intelligence-driven model, and green development". It devises practical and feasible technology routes and implementation paths of carbon reduction, actively explores green and low-carbon port demonstration models that are applicable and replicative in the port industry.
