Lv Shuai from Togo and A’nuo from Cameroon of Africa, are studying international economy and trade in University of Jinan in Shandong province. "Lv Shuai" and "A’nuo" are names given by their Chinese teacher and they are willing to be called this way. Having lived in Jinan for three years, they can speak fluent mandarin.

"I love China. It’s different from what I thought. Actually what I have seen in China is much better." said Lv Shuai. "China develops fast and has reached a high-level modernization. Great changes have taken place in the west of Jinan in three years since I came here.”

"When I first came to China, language was the biggest problem. I could only say ‘Nihao’, my teachers and classmates gave me much help. Now I am able to have daily communication with you in Chinese." A’nuo was excited and satisfied.

"We have been to Qufu, Rizhao, Qingdao, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and many other Chinese cities. We're both fond of these cities, and most importantly, we like their culture such as Qingdao Beer Festival, Beijing's Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Suzhou and Hangzhou towns. It’s good that different cities have different characteristics.” A’nuo said.

Besides learning professional knowledge, Lv Shuai and A’nuo have their own hobbies. Lv Shuai likes watching movies, playing football and going to the gym while A’nuo who looks quiet prefers running, watching TV and listening to music. When asked about why they choose to study in China, both of them answered without hesitation: "because we want to know more about Chinese culture."

"I like culture and I want more foreigners to understand Chinese culture including eating and living habits. I also want more Chinese people to understand our culture" Lv Shuai said.

"I love China. It has rich cultural deposits. We hope we can have more chances to know about traditional Chinese culture. It will be of great help for us to understand China." A’nuo said.
