The opening ceremony of Shandong NGO Alliance for International Exchange and Cooperation was held in Jinan on the afternoon of Feb. 8, 2023. The capacity training for NGO international exchange and cooperation ran in parallel.

The establishment of the alliance aims to give full play to the advantages of NGOs, unblock the channels of international exchange and cooperation, pool wisdom widely, seek for good development strategies, make good use of existing resources, cultivate incremental resources, comprehensively upgrade the level of opening-up, and help Shandong forge new heights of opening-up.

More than 40 NGOs in Shandong with a certain basis and willingness for international exchange and cooperation were selected for the establishment of the alliance, with its secretariat set up in Shandong Association for International Exchange of Personnel.

In the future, the province will give full play to the advantages of the alliance, continuously integrate the province’s NGO foreign exchange resources, promote NGOs to participate in major foreign affairs activities, high-level visits and sister-city activities, and carry out cooperation and exchanges with international organizations, so as to further improve the ability and level of international exchange and cooperation of NGOs in Shandong.
