The Zibo economy and trade delegation’s 8-day visit to Japan and South Korea for communication and negotiation gained great achievements.

During their stay in South Korea, the “2023 China (Zibo)—South Korea Cooperation Conference” was held, attended by officials of local governments and representatives from nearly 30 well-known institutions and enterprises.

Sha Xiangdong, vice mayor of Zibo City, introduced and promoted the economy, cooperation demands and investment policies of the city. The delegation also visited Gwangju, a friendly city of Zibo, and attended the opening ceremony of the “26th Royal Ceramic Festival” and the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between the two cities. In addition, the delegation carried out field research of South Korean institutes and enterprises, where they had discussions on talent training, industry cooperation, etc.

In Japan, the delegation held the “2023 China (Zibo)—Japan Cooperation Conference” to introduce the city’s investment and trade environment, and business policies, which eyed representatives from over 10 institutions and nearly 20 famous enterprises. Also, a dialogue between the delegation and officials of Ota city was sparked up on friendly relationship, economy and trade cooperation, culture exchange, etc. As well, the delegation visited AGC and other prestigious enterprises to dig into cooperation in chemical, auto, biomedicine and other industries.
