The Ninth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations will be held from September 26th to 28th in Qufu, E China’s Shandong province, according to a press conference held today. Themed on “the common values of mankind and a community with a shared future for mankind--strengthen exchanges and mutual learning among civilizations to meet global challenges”, this forum consists of 12 sub-topics such as the scientific connotation and significance of the common value of mankind.

This forum will organize multiple meaningful activities such as keynote speeches, high-level dialogues, breakout sessions, ceremonial rituals as well as cultural experience activities for further communication and understanding.

On September 26th, there will be sub-forums on literature, art, and cultural relics as well as Confucianism Summit Forum, Chinese and Foreign Universities Forum, Classical Civilizations Forum, Confucian Business Culture Forum and Youth Forum of Nishan Forum on World Civilizations both online and offline. A theme light show will also be staged at the night.

On September 27th, the opening ceremony and keynote speeches of Nishan Forum on World Civilizations with 59 online parallel sessions will be conducted. In the afternoon, high-end dialogues, high-end interviews and thematic dialogues will take place successively.

The event is scheduled to conclude on the afternoon of September 28th.

Additionally, the 2023 China (Qufu) International Confucius Cultural Festival themed on “commemorating the 2574th anniversary of the birth of Confucius” will be held concurrently during the forum to show the charm of traditional Chinese culture.
