Recently, a seminar on implementing political and legal regulations and strengthening policitcal contruction throughout Shandong province was held at ‘Jiao Yulu Cadre Education Academy’ in Zibo City, E China. Sun Chengliang, deputy secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, presided over the opening ceremony, and made the special tutorship of ‘Carrying out an in-depth thematic education to promote comprehensive and strict governance over the Party and police for political and legal system’.
The seminar facilitated on-site observation, discussion and interaction, and the experience sharing, which yielded positive results. The thematic education also includes collective activities such as a visit to the Jiao Yulu Memorial Hall, a thematic report titled ‘Jiao Yulu—From Here to Revolution’, a screening of the film My Father, and on-site observation at grassroots political and legal institutions, as well as consulting the regulations implementation of political and legal institutions in Zibo City and its Boshan District, and reading some police political files. Departments of the provincial political and legal authority and municipal polical and legal authorities of Qingdao, Zibo, Yantai, Jining, and Binzhou conducted a communication on advancing thematic education, implementing political and legal regulations, strengthening construction of political and legal team and political archives’ establishment, and the research and evaluation work of leaders in political and legal system.
By systematically learning the spirit of Jiao Yulu, all participants improved their Party’s spirits and awareness, stimulated work enthusiasms, and gained a deeper comprehension of the current construction work of political and legal teams through communications and mutual learning. They opined that this special seminar, with rich content and reasonable courses, is of strong pertinence, practicability and guidance. It is necessary to expedite the assimilation and transformation of the seminar’s results, to combine the spirit of the seminar with practical work, and to promote the further development of theme education and the formation of political and legal teams in Shandong province.
