From March 5 to 14, a delegation of Shandong Provincial Government led by Song Junji, Vice Governor of Shandong Province and Secretary General of Shandong Provincial Government visited Japan, South Korea and Singapore, promoting the construction of Shandong’s new highland of opening up to a new level.

This is the first provincial delegation from Shandong to go abroad after the adjustment of epidemic control measures, which has been widely concerned and welcomed by the governments and economic circles of Japan, South Korea and Singapore. During their visit to Japan, the delegation reached trade and investment consensus with relevant Japanese departments on strengthening cooperation in such areas as energy conservation and environmental protection, intelligent manufacturing, health care for the elderly, and new-generation information technology. During the visit to the South Korea, the delegation agreed with relevant ROK parties to hold a meeting on economic and trade cooperation mechanism between provinces in Shandong in the second half of the year, and reached consensus on strengthening cooperation in logistics, supply chain, RCEP and other fields. During the visit to Singapore, the delegation agreed with relevant parties in Singapore to hold the plenary meeting of the Singapore-Shandong Economic in Shandong in the second half of the year to promote bilateral cooperation in green and low-carbon industries and release of RCEP policy dividends.

Delegations from seven cities, including Zaozhuang, Yantai, Weifang, Jining, Dezhou, Binzhou and Heze, also participated in the visit.
