The 2022 China (Qufu) International Confucius Cultural Festival and 8th Nishan Forum on World Civilizations wrapped up in Qufu on Setp. 28. Bai Yugang, chief of the Publicity Department and member of the Standing Committee of Shandong Provincial Party Committee declared its conclusion, and Sun Jiye, vice governor of Shandong province, presided over the closing ceremony.

A total of 8 foreign dignitaries and former dignitaries, 2 international organizations, 48 diplomatic envoys from 31countries, and 800-odd experts and scholars from 22 countries and regions participated in relevant forums, interviews, and supporting activities, online and offline. Under the theme of "The Diversity of Human Civilizations and the Common Values of Mankind”, they conducted dialogues and communication on an equal footing, enhanced mutual understanding and recognition, provided insights, and contributed to the development of human civilization. This year's Nishan Forum set up nine parallel sub-forums, including Cultural Relics Forum, Literature Forum and Confucian Businessman Culture Forum, promoting its transformation from an academic forum to a comprehensive humanities forum.

In his speech, Bai Yugang said that the Forum will further highlight its cosmopolitan, humanistic, inclusive and innovative nature, build a high-end platform for different countries and regions to showcase diverse civilizations and strengthen exchanges and cooperation, and make Shandong's contribution to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
