The Information Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government held a press conference on March 2, briefing on the main content,achievements and future plan of the construction of “Remarkable Shandong”, and releasing the list of the first batch of “Remarkable Shandong” brands, including Haier Group, Weichai Power and Weiqiao Pioneering, a total of 223 brands in 14 categories covering manufacturing, agricultural products, consumer goods, among other fields.

According to the press conference, the “Remarkable Shandong” brands were selected from winners of the China Quality Award and Shandong Governor Quality Award, key enterprises of replacing old growth drivers with new ones, well-known regional public brands of agricultural products and enterprise product brands, time-honored brands, geographical indication products, etc., with emphasis on evaluation indicators such as quality, innovation, brand, efficiency and green development, featuring high quality, high popularity and great market influence.
