In 2,000 BC, Wangcun Village of Zibo, located in the hinterland of Longshan Culture, was rich in millet. The Longshan culture, which was developed in pottery and wine making, also had superb skills to make millet vinegar and rice wine.

The millet vinegar made by Wangcun Village adheres to the ancient brewing process. The millet vinegar is made with millet as raw material and fermented with wheat yeast. After 21 processes, the brewing period is about one year. The color, smell and taste of Wangcun vinegar are different from other kinds of vinegar due to the strict manual technology and long brewing time.
