According to Shandong Provincial Department of Transportation, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has recently approved the frequencies of Jinan Shanghe General Aviation Airport, and Linyi Feixian General Aviation Airport, laying the foundation for the operation of the airports.

With a total investment of 578 million yuan, Shanghe General Aviation Airport started construction in June 2020 and is scheduled to open to navigation in November this year. With a total investment of 508 million yuan, Feixian General Aviation Airport started construction in July 2020 and is scheduled to open to navigation in October this year.

At present, there are 6 general aviation airport projects under construction in Shandong Province, and 4 of them will be completed within this year. By then, there will be 18 general airports in the province.

According to the“Plan for the Development of the Comprehensive Transport of Shandong Province During the Period of the 14th Five-Year Plan”, Shandong will focus on accelerating the planning and construction of general airports and cultivate a group of well-coordinated and efficient general aviation airports providing high-quality services and covering the whole province, so as to realize the goal of leading the country in the construction and development of general aviation airports; And the number of general aviation airports in the province will reach 30 by 2025.
