The inaugural meeting of the Shandong Provincial Delegation to the 14th National Games of the People’s Republic of China was held in Jinan on August 31. Sun Jiye, vice governor of Shandong Province and head of the delegation, presented the flag to Shandong delegation and made a speech at the meeting.

Sun Jiye placed great hopes on all members of Shandong delegation. He hoped that the athletes of Shandong province would fully display the spirit of striving to make progress and scale new heights, and strive to achieve a good harvest in sports and spiritual civilization.

The 14th National Games of the People’s Republic of China will be held in Shannxi from September 15 to 27, 2021. A total of 956 athletes from Shandong province are qualified for the finals in 33 sports, 46 disciplines and 325 events, a record high in the number of participants and events. In mass sports, Shandong delegation will participate in the preliminary finals of all 19 major team events.
