It's announced that this year's Qingdao Multinationals Summit (QMS) will be held in Qingdao from July 15th to 16th. The Summit is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC and Shandong Provincial People's Government.

Qian Keming, vice minister of the MOC, introduced at the press conference held on May 26 that this year's summit will continue the theme of “Multinationals and China” to expand the effect of the first summit and enhance multinational corporations' confidence in investing and developing in China. Building a new platform for multinational corporations to participate in the 14th Five-Year Plan and the new development pattern will help to build a broad consensus between China and multinational corporations to jointly promote the building of an open world economy. “The 2021 Summit will further demonstrate China's determination of achieving win-win outcomes in opening up and new opportunities brought by the new development pattern for multinational companies,” he added.

A study entitled "MNC in China: Growing New Opportunities in a New Pattern" will also be released during the summit, which will provide a comprehensive overview of the role of MNC in the construction of the new dual-cycle development pattern and new opportunities that the new pattern provides for MNC growth.

The Summit will be held both online and offline. Up to now, 330 people and 310 multinational companies from 26 countries and regions have signed up for the onsite conference.182 people from 169 multinational companies in China have signed up for onsite participation, and some multinational companies are still waiting to further confirm their high-level participants.
