Lawmakers and political advisers from Shandong arrive in Beijing for two sessions

Deputies to the National People’s Congress (NPC) from Shandong province arrived at Beijing on Wednesday for the annual session of the NPC. Shandong will have 169 NPC deputies from the province to attend the top legislature’s annual meeting.

Before heading to Beijing, the deputies have conducted in-depth research and prepared proposals and suggestions on major issues concerning economic and social development as well as hot issues of common concern to the people, such as the transformation of old and new development driving forces, rural revitalization, strategic planning for the marine economy, the three critical battles, opening up to the outside world, protection and inheritance of red culture, having a clear understanding of job performance, public health, emergency management, technological innovation, infrastructure construction, legal guarantee system, medical treatment, education, employment, old-age care, food and drug safety, resources and environment protection, etc.

All members of the CPPCC National Committee from Shandong province arrived at Beijing in two groups for the top political advisory body's annual meeting.

During the meeting, members of the CPPCC National Committee from Shandong province will listen to and deliberate the work report of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee and the report on the work concerning proposals since the 3rd session of the 13th CPPCC National Committee. The members will also attend the 4th session of the 13th CPPCC National Committee as non-voting delegates to listen to and discuss the government work report and other relevant reports, as well as the draft outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan for national economic and social development and the country’s 'Vision 2035'.
