According to Shandong Provincial Department of Transport, as of the end of December 2020, the total cargo throughput of coastal ports in Shandong has reached 1.69 billion tons, a year-on-year increase of 4.9%.

Among that, the total throughput of foreign trade was 930 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 5.0%; the total container throughput was 31.91 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 6.0%. A cargo throughput of 1.421 billion tons was completed by Shandong Port Group, an increase of 7.45% year-on-year.
