“Shandong-Bavaria Food Industry Express” online exchange meeting held in Jinan

On December 2, the “Shandong-Bavaria Food Industry Express” online exchange meeting was jointly held by the Foreign Affairs Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government and Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. Relevant departments of Shandong and Bavaria briefed on the basic situation of their agriculture, import and export of agricultural products, development of food enterprises, and experience and practices in food safety management.

Li Rong, executive vice president of Shandong People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said in her speech that Bavaria is one of Shandong’s sister provinces and states with whom Shandong shares the longest history of friendship, frequent exchanges, and most outstanding cooperation results. Since the establishment of friendship in 1987, the two sides have carried out close cooperation in various fields, such as economy and trade, science and technology, education and training, agriculture and rural areas, and established an all-dimensional, wide-ranging and multi-level friendship. Bavaria has advanced food industry and world-renowned distinctive food products such as beer, sausage, ham, bread, and spices. The two sides can carry out exchanges and cooperation in the deep processing of agricultural products, the supply chain of the food industry, and the complementarity of the industrial chain to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.

This “Shandong-Bavaria Food Industry Express” online exchange activity aims to build a professional and efficient exchange platform for cooperation between food-related departments, institutions and enterprises from both sides, and promote mutual beneficial cooperation in technology, trade, investment, safety, and training in the field of the food industry.
