Yantai sets sail for first domestic China-Japan-South Korea cross-border e-commerce project

The Management Committee of Yantai Free Trade Port Zone and Bohai Ferry Group Co., Ltd. signed the agreement to jointly build a cross-border e-commerce supply chain platform on August 6th. The two sides decided to carry out comprehensive cooperation in cross-border e-commerce, shipping logistics, intelligent warehousing, supply chain finance, system support and other fields. The project is the first cross-border e-commerce project featuring Japanese and South Korean commodity trade between government and enterprise in China.

By virtue of policy advantages and system innovation advantages of Yantai Free Trade Port Zone, the project will carry out comprehensive business such as display of bonded commodities, offline self-pick-up of cross-border e-commerce products within the zone, international purchase of cross-border products, import of bonded commodities, import direct-delivery commodity in the mode of "display and transaction + cross-border e-commerce ". The project is committed to building a cross-border distribution center of Japanese and South Korean commodities, as well as a landmark platform for cross-border e-commerce of goods from Japan and South Korea.

It’s reported that Yantai Free Trade Port Zone has built a customs standardized inspection center of 2,400 square meters for cross-border e-commerce industry. The cross-border e-commerce industrial park covers an area of 30,000 square meters, with functions of experiencing cross-border e-commerce, incubation, foreign trade comprehensive services, characteristic bonded commodities display, and cross-border investment and finance.
