Recently, Shandong financial authority allocated 1.45 billion yuan in budget subsidy for the operation of village-level organizations in 2020, an increase of 250 million yuan over last year, up 20.83 percent, to support local governments in strengthening the guarantee of the operation of village-level organizations.

Shandong requires municipal financial departments to increase the capital input and county-level financial departments to increase annual budget in the operating funds for village-level organizations to enhance the capacity of rural gross-roots organizations in performing their duties and improving their service level.

Starting from 2017, Shandong adjusts the minimum guarantee standard of financial subsidies for the operation of village-level organizations every three years. From 2020, Shandong will raise the minimum level of government subsidies to 105,000 yuan per village from 90,000 yuan.
