On the afternoon of Feb. 20, the 12th medical team from Shandong Povince set off from Jinan Yaoqiang Airport to support the prevention and control of the epidemic in Hubei. Wang Shujian, executive vice governor of Shandong Province, saw the medical team off at the airport and presented the flag to the medical team.

Wang Shujian praised the dedication of the medical team at the most critical moment in the fight against the outbreak.“On behalf of the provincial Party committee, the provincial government and the 100 million Shandong people, I'd like to pay high tribute and express heartfelt thanks to all the members of the medical team,” added Wang Shujian.

He also expressed the hope that everyone keep high-spirited and show the spiritual outlook of Shandong People with every word and action, do their best to treat patients, show the superb medical skills and noble medical ethnics, and strive to improve the cure rate and reduce the morbidity and death rate. At the same, he reminded everyone to take personal protection seriously to maintain a healthy state of mind and body.

The 12th medical team from Shandong Province consists of 170 medical personnel, including 50 doctors and 120 nurses.
