China will begin receiving applications for tariff exemptions on certain U.S. imports, including medical equipment, such as ventilators, starting March 2, according to a statement by the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council.
As many as 696 kinds of products imported from the U.S. are on the exemption list, including pork, beef, soybeans, medical equipment, liquefied natural gas and crude oil.
Domestic firms seeking exemptions on the additional tariffs on U.S. products can submit applications from March 2, and the exemption will be effective for one year after being approved.
