The third session of the 13th CPC Shandong Provincial People's Congress was held on from January 18th to 22nd in Jinan, east China's Shandong province. Gong Zheng, governor of Shandong province delivered a report on the work of the government on behalf of the provincial government.

The report proposed that Shandong will carry out the quality improvement action in a more profound way in 2020, seize the opportunity of comprehensive national trials for standardization, cultivate a number of advanced standards featuring Shandong advantages and characteristics, accelerate the construction of a national industrial measurement and testing center, promote the certification of Taishan quality, and strengthen the creation, protection and application of intellectual property rights.

Great efforts will be made to carry out the project of cultivating century-old brand enterprises, foster one hundred manufacturing and 50 high-end service brands, upgrade a group of high-quality agricultural products with geographical designation, form the brand system of "friendly Shandong, quality Shandong products", so as to help made-in-Shandong products and services win public praise, wider markets, and global influence.
