In order to further and fully promote the revitalization of economy and society of the ethnic villages, Shandong Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission and the United Front Work Department of Shandong Provincial Party Commission jointly issued the Notice on Building Model Ethnic Villages in Rural Revitalization and corresponding implementation plan.

According to the notice, Shandong will pick out 10 to 20 ethnic villages to build them into model ethnic villages in rural revitalization in line with local characteristics and in various forms and sum up some replicable experience to promote the rural revitalization strategy in ethnic villages in an healthy and orderly manner.

It’s reported that building model ethnic villages in revitalization abides by the rule that the assessment starts one year after creation. After one year's work, eligible villages will be identified as the provincial demonstration ethnic village in rural revitalization. The unqualified villages will not be confirmed but also be revoked from the qualifications of construction.
