The delegation of press officials and journalists from Asian and European countries arrived at Weichai Group on July 3 in Weifang, east China's Shandong province.

In the science and technology exhibition hall, they learned about the company's self-innovation and the achievements of its opening up, and got a close look at the social and economic development of Shandong province.

Founded in 1946, Weichai Group is a key enterprise supported by the state in the R&D, manufacturing and sales of internal combustion engines. In the exhibition hall, members of the delegation learned about the history of Weichai through the "time corridor".

On the right side of the main exhibition hall lies the display area of terminal products including commercial vehicles, engineering vehicles and ship power. In addition to the products, there is an exhibition wall themed "innovation-oriented, power of the nation", which shows via pictures and data the remarkable achievements the company has made.

Over the years, Weichai, aiming to serve global customers, has been exploring the path of international development, not only having won the opportunity to acquire well-known European enterprises on the "silk road", but also conducted testing of local manufacturing on the "maritime silk road".

To promote the communication and cooperation between China and Eurasian countries in the field of press, China International Publishing Group and the Information Office of Shandong Provincial People's Government jointly host the event. More than 20 press officials and journalists from Asian and European countries will visit the cities of Jinan, Zibo, Weifang and Qingdao in six days to experience the province's long history, rich culture, unique customs and the new achievements Shandong has made in the construction of a strong modern province in the new era.
