Qingdao Research and Development Base of CAS Academy of Integrated Circuit Innovation signed

The signing ceremony of Qingdao Research and Development Base of CAS Academy of Integrated Circuit Innovation was held on April 29, 2019 in Qingdao, east China’s Shandong province. Xiang Libin, vice president of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Meng Fanli, vice secretary of Qingdao Municipal Committee of CPC and mayor of Qingdao City, Bian Jianping, secretary general of Qingdao Municipal People’s Government, and Shang Liqun, vice secretary of the working committee and director of the management committee of Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone(QNHIDZ) attended the ceremony.

According to the agreement reached at the ceremony, Qingdao Research and Development Base will build “one academy, one enterprise, one park, one fund and one center” in QNHIDZ.

After the signing ceremony, the attendees visited the key industrial projects of scientific research institutions.

Led by the Institute of Microelectronics of CAS, the Academy of Integrated Circuit Innovation will give full play to the technological advantages and influence of the microelectronics and integrated circuit industry application, make efforts to become a main force in the research, development, output and application of integrated circuit technologies in China, and help local integrated circuit and related industries develop rapidly with more sophisticated technologies and abundant resources.

After the signing of the agreement, both sides will strive to build Qingdao Research and Development Base into an influential high-end new-type research institution and demonstration base for the transfer and transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the fields of integrated circuits and other application in Northern China within 3 to 5 years.
