The construction department of Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone (QNHIDZ) held a summary meeting of the inspection of the five cities in the Pearl River Delta and the Yangtze River Delta. Pu Hongqiang, director of the Construction Bureau of QNHIDZ and executive deputy chief of the leading group of urban construction, attended the meeting and listened to the report of the results of the inspection tour.

Some days ago, a delegation formed by officials of the Construction Bureau and Major Project Office went to Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing, Suzhou and Shanghai for an inspection trip.

The delegation went with questions and came back with experience. What should we do in managing the industries? How should the projects be built? These are topics that the competent departments proposed for the delegation before its departure. At the summary meeting, everyone expressed their views freely to find and follow the applicable standards and set clear directions in works concerning trade management, project construction and ability enhancement. Attendees also found the gaps, put forward many in-depth suggestions and gave corresponding countermeasures from the aspects of agent-construction system, market supervision, business environment, administration streamlining and power delegation to the low levels and self-positioning.

It is agreed that no matter the construction of public projects or municipal projects is intensified, high-quality and efficient service should be the first priority. The departments will ensure that the focus work and target are carried forward to a high standard by means of responsibility service, management service and environment service, and by delegating powers that should be delegated.

Next, the construction department will learn advanced experience, spare no efforts to lift the ability, seek practical effect, raise administrative level, make good achievements, and take practical action to narrow the gap with advanced cities.
