In order to promote the integrative growth of holistic tourism and expand the consumption of services, Shandong plans to further reduce the ticket prices for state-owned scenic spots, news from Shandong Development and Reform Commission. By the end of 2019, the price of admission tickets for state-owned scenic spots in the province will be generally reduced by 50 percent from that of the January 1, 2018.

According to the notice of cutting the price, the single price reduction should reach about 30 percent for state-owned scenic spots. For those scenic spots that had announced ticket price reduction in 2018 but had not meet the reduction requirements, a price reduction channel should be established to further reduce the ticket price.

“Many other measures such as lowering the cableway ticket price will be taken while cutting admission ticket to expand the space of price reduction,” said an official of the department. "For other scenic spots that implement government-guided price management, we will reduce floating prices by means of investigation, supervision and examination of the cost to effectively reduce the burden of tourists."

It’s reported that investigation and supervision of the ticket pricing cost can provide data support for lowering the ticket price.

At the same time, Shandong decides to make public the price management, decision making, result, implementation, and the revenue and expenditures of state-owned scenic spots so as to accept the social supervision.
