Sino-Russian Red Tourism Cooperation Series kicks off in Linyi

2018 Sino-Russian Red Tourism Cooperation Series kicked off in Linyi, Shandong Province on November 22 to further the level of tourism cooperation and exchanges between China and Russia.

More than 80 people from Russia and 200 domestic participants attended the event.

Zhang Mingchi, deputy director-general of Shandong Province, presided over the launch ceremony. Zhang Yulan, deputy mayor of Linyi, Li Shande, information officer of Russia Embassy in China, Li Jiangang, deputy director of Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation of Ministry of Culture and Tourism delivered their speeches. Du Dechang, director of the Standing Committee of Linyi Municipal People’s Congress attended the ceremony.

Seven Chinese “red tourism” (revolutionary-themed tourism) routes were released according to the travel characteristics of the Russian. Representatives of Chinese and Russian travel agents signed the agreement on exchanges of red tourist resources between China and Russia, and reached preliminary cooperation intention on red tourism projects, tourist routes, tourist promotion and other aspects.

18 domestic revolutionary cities including Linyi, Changsha, Xiangtan, Zunyi and Yan’an jointly issued an initiative to further deepen and expand the cooperation between China and Russia in the development of red tourism, optimize the mode and mechanism of exchanges and cooperation, and improve the level of management and services.

A series of large-scale themed activities will be held during the event in succession.

2018 Sino-Russian Red Tourism Cooperation Series is of great significance to further deepen the exchanges and cooperation in tourism and culture between China and Russia. It is conducive to further marketing the tourist resources of China and Russia, enhancing the level of tourism cooperation and exchanges and boosting the traditional friendship between the two countries.
