Shandong releases tourist routes for self-driving tour

To better meet self-driving visitors' demand, tourism authorities of Shandong province released two tourist routes recently featuring "one mountain, one river and one sage".

The No. 1 and 2 tourist routes, supported by holistic tourism, are expected to be a comprehensive tourist product based on the main traffic lines in Shandong.

The No. 1 self-driving route takes the north-south G3 Jing Tai expressway as the main line, the G2 Jing Hu expressway on the left and G35 Ji Guang expressway on the right as the sub-lines and national road 104, provincial roads 103 and 104, county-level roads 056 and 055 as the 10 branch lines.

No. 1 self-driving route runs through famous cultural and tourist cities such as Dezhou, Jinan, Tai'an, Jining and Zaozhuang, linking the four national level 5A-class tourist attractions, namely, Baotu Spring Scenic Area, Confucian Cultural Tourist Area, Mount Tai Scenic Area and Tai'erzhuang Ancient Town, and integrating the six cultural and tourist brands of "Dongying, the Oriental holy land ", "Jinan, City of Springs", "Ping'an Mount Tai", "Grand Canal in Shandong", "Birthplace of the Water Margin" and "Estuary of the Yellow River".

Taking G22 Qing Lan highway and G20 Qing Yin highway as the main lines, the No. 2 self-driving route connects the two regions of the economic circle of the provincial capital and neighboring cities, and the peninsula urban cluster. Tourists will enjoy both the inland and coastal landscape in well-known destinations in Liaocheng, Jinan, Zibo, Weifang, Qingdao, Weihai and Yantai. This classic self-driving tour line contains the Watertown in North China, the City of Springs, Former Capital of the State of Qi, the City of Kites, the Sailing City and the Fairyland Coastal City.
