Focusing on Yantai--a pacemaker of opening up

The “Focusing on Yantai, one of the first 14 coastal cities opening up to the world ” media tour kicked off on August 7, 2018, in Yantai, a coastal city of Shandong Province. Zhang Dailing, deputy mayor of Yantai, attended the launching ceremony. Officials from the publicity and business departments briefed on the situation of Yantai’s opening up.

Journalists from more than 30 top news outlets from home and abroad participate in the event, including Aju Business Daily, O Broadcasting System Television, Hong Kong Economic Times, Hong Kong Commercial Daily, Ta Kung Pao and Wen Wei Po, en.people.cn, China Daily.

Yantai is not only a key city in the Circum-Bohai Sea Economic Zone, a backbone city in the Blue Economic Zone of Shandong Peninsula, one of the14 pioneer coastal cities opening up to the world, but also a national key construction port city of the “B&R” initiative.

Since the beginning of this year, Yantai government has attached great importance to opening up and the creation of a favorable business environment. A series of policies have been issued to speed up the reform and development of industrial parks as well as promote the develoment of exhibition business. Yantai has also stepped up efforts to attract both investment and talents, so as to build the city into a power of manufacturing and ocean economy, and into a city that is suitable for work, living and travelling.

The event is co-sponsored by the Publicity Department of the CPC Yantai Municipal Committee, Information Office of Yantai Municipal People Government and Yantai Municipal Bureau of Commerce, and organized by Sdchina.com.

Journalists will visit Yantai Economic and Technological Development Area, Yantai Bonded Port Area, and Yantai Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone to explore the new development, new changes, new achievements and great business environment of Yantai since the implementation of the opening up policy.
