The Publicity Department of the Party Central Committee organized some journalists from major medias to visit Qingdao to publicize the city before Shanghai Cooperation Organization Qingdao Summit in this June. Zhang Jiangting, the Party chief of Qingdao, met with the media delegation and received their joint interview at Qingdao municipal organ office center on May 7, 2018.

Ninety-two journalists from 39 national, provincial and municipal medias attended the event.

Zhang Jiangting, also a member of the standing committee of the Party Shandong Committee, expressed warm welcome to the journalists. He said it is a great political task the Party Central Committee with President Xi Jinping as the core has given to Qingdao for hosting SCO Qingdao Summit and it is also a good development opportunity for Qingdao and Shandong Province. Mr. Zhang said we have established a high-efficient operation mechanism to make preparation for the summit under direct guidance of the Party Shandong Committee and Shandong Provincial Government.

Qingdao will host a successful SCO Qingdao Summit under firm leadership of the organizing committee of the summit and the Party Shandong Committee and Shandong Provincial Government, said Mr. Zhang when he answer questions from the journalists, adding the Party Qingdao Committee will perform its political duty and fulfill its glorious mission.

Sun Lijie, the director of the Publicity Department of the Party Qingdao Committee, officials from national and provincial authorities and other municipal leading officials Wang Luming, Luan Xin, Zhang Deping, Zhu Peiji, Yan Xijun and Liu Jianjun attended the activities.
