China's consumer price index (CPI), a main gauge of inflation, rose 1.8 percent year-on-year in April, the National Bureau of Statistics said Thursday.
The increase was down from 2.1 percent for March, according to the bureau.
The producer price index (PPI), which measures costs for goods at the factory gate, rose 3.4 percent year-on-year in April.
It was up from 3.1 percent in March, according to the NBS.
