Acupuncture catching on among foreigners after media introduction

A British newspaper has been publishing educational articles about acupuncture, generating critical reviews about the ancient Chinese therapy.

The Sun has carried an extensive article, explaining acupuncture's nature, techniques and effect. It argues acupuncture can alleviate pain and relieve anxiety. The article quotes a study published in The Journal of Clinical Acupuncture in 2016 which claims acupuncture can increase the chance of pregnancy.

A Twitter user with the screen name @RewatiRay says "Chinese medicine/Acupuncture r becoming mainstream medicine in USA."

Kylee Cho (@kyleecho_cho) says on Twitter that "Acupuncture is an alternative medicine methodology originating in ancient China."

Another user, identified with the name "SoIFitHI", tweeted "Acupuncture has been used in China for over 3 millenia. Recent studies support its benefits in pain management for chronic illnesses."

The Sun article points out that initial acupuncture sessions cost between 40-70 pounds (57-100 US dollars) in the UK.
