The Health and Family Planning Commission of Shandong province released the first batch of healthy cities (counties), towns and villages recently on its website.

A total of 18 cities were listed as provincial pilot healthy cities and two as provincial level healthy towns. The 18 pilot cities are Jinan, Zibo, Dongying, Yantai, Weifang, Tai’an, Weihai, Rizhao, Laiwu, Linyi, Binzhou, Laizhou, Qingzhou, Zhucheng, Qufu, Xintai, Feicheng and Ruishan. Changle County and Fei County are the pilot towns.

60 towns were included in the list of the first batch of pilot healthy towns, while 137 villages were selected as experimental healthy villages. Jinan has 7 towns and 17 villages included.
