Shandong makes steady progress in county economy

Shandong’s county economy in the first three quarters has made a steady progress, according to the county economy department of Shandong Development and Reform Commission. During the first three quarters this year, the county economy contributed 4.9927 trillion yuan to Shandong’s GDP, accounting for 89.3 percent of the total GDP with a 7.4 percent year-on-year growth.

It’s reported the counties in Shandong have achieved 377 billion yuan in public finance budget revenue, an increase of 8.1 percent in accordance with the same caliber, equaling the prior year. The growth number is 0.1 percent higher than provincial average, accounting for 80.3 percent of the total provincial public finance budget revenue. 283.9 billion yuan of tax revenue has been realized with an increase of 10.4 percent in accordance with the same caliber, up 3.8 percent year on year and 5.6 percent from the first half year, accounting for 83.9 percent of the total provincial tax revenue.

The fixed assets investment from counties reached to 3.5908 trillion yuan, growing 8.1 percent from a year earlier and accounting for 90.2 percent of the total provincial fixed assets investment, which is 0.1 percent higher than the provincial average.

In terms of each city, the county GDP of nine cities exceeds the provincial average, among which Rizhao and Qingdao were reported realizing a growth of more than nine percent. The public finance budget revenue in ten cities is higher than the provincial average, among which Rizhao, Laiwu, Dezhou, Weihai and Jinan reported an increase of more than ten percent. There are 10 cities that have achieved higher county tax revenue than the provincial average, among which Rizhao, Laiwu and Jinan realized a growth of more than fifteen percent. Nine cities reported the county fixed assets investment is higher than that of the provincial average, among which Jinan and Rizhao claimed a growth of more than fifteen percent.

From the perspective of each county (township or district), 74 counties (townships or districts) in total achieved a GDP that is higher than that of the provincial average; 68 counties (townships or districts) reported an public finance budget revenue above the provincial average; 68 counties (townships or districts) reported an above–average tax revenue; 89 counties (townships or districts) declared a fixed assets investment that is higher than the provincial average.
