Shandong draws in over 3.4 trillion yuan of investment from central enterprises

Central enterprises have always been the backbone of national economy with huge advantages in technology, capital, management and personnel. This year, 17 cities and province-administered enterprises in Shandong have promoted more than 801 projects in total to the central enterprises, with a total investment of 3.41trillion yuan, as reported by a press conference held on Nov. 30, 2017. By the end of Octorber, 321 of the 801 projects have been contracted, involving 1.5229 trillion yuan.

Fan Jun, vice director of Shandong Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, said that Shandong will further deepen the strategic cooperation with central enterprises and make good use of their advantages so as to quicken the transformation of growth driving forces, make up areas of weakness and power the construction of Shandong into an innovative province.

Among the projects under contract with central enterprises, the gross investment of projects with Jinan, Qingdao, Yantai and Weifang has all exceeded 100 billion yuan.

According to Fan, the 321 projects under contract have extended to a very broad scope, concerning infrastructure construction, new energy, new materials, information industry and other six fields.

Note that Qingdao has signed up as many as 52 cooperation framework agreements with 30 central enterprises and their subordinate companies, with the investment value amounting to 400 billion yuan, while 27 of that agreements have been signed up between Yantai and central enterprises, which pumped in 50 billion yuan. The cooperation with central enterprises has been an effective access for local government to the quick but quality economic development.

At the same time, the province-administered enterprises have been making efforts to expand the circle of friends with central enterprises and promoting the industrial transformation and upgrading.
