Liu said that Shandong has conducted a dozen of special measurement inspections targeted on grain procurement, medical health and other key sectors. As many as one million measuring instruments have been examined compulsorily, improving the average examination rate to 95%. Especially in 2017, Shandong has enforced compulsory inspection on 30,000 measurement instruments, with a 98% examination rate, which has effectively safeguarded the measurement order and laid a foundation for the construction of a long-acting supervision mechanism.

In recent years, Shandong has been taking the lead in metrological work which provides an important technical support to the sustainable development of economy and society.
