Open Shandong series interview concludes in Rizhao

The Open Shandong series interview, special report on “seek new development with new economic engines ”came to an end on September 15 in Rizhao, east China’s Shandong province. A delegation of both Chinese and foreign traditional and new media conducted an on-the-spot coverage in Jinan, Liaocheng, Jining, Linyi and Rizhao over five days.

China Shandong Website, as the organizer of the interview, taking advantage of Internet media and publicity portal, conducted a comprehensive coverage of the event via articles, photos and video on its website, on Sina Weibo and WeChat. The mobile live broadcast and live streaming by drone have drawn wide attention. Special reports in Chinese, English, Korean and Japanese were launched from the beginning of the activity. Over 120 articles in foreign languages have been published.

Members of the media delegation were extremely impressed by Shandong and the activity. “We visited a number of Shandong enterprises. I am glad to know that some of them have carried out fruitful cooperation with Russian companies,”said Belkova Maryna, journalist with China and Russia magazine. “I will write about what I have seen here and recommend excellent Shandong enterprises to Russian people. I hope more Shandong companies will come to invest in Russia,” she added.

It is the first time for Li Xiaoxue, a journalist with Xinhuanet, to take part in such large-scale interview. “I have learned a lot from the activity,”she said, “it is really exciting to communicate and work with media outlets from countries along the Belt and Road!”

The special report on “seek new development with new economic engines ” was jointly hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee, the Information Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government, Shandong Development and Reform Commission, Shandong Economic and Information Technology Committee and the Department of Science and Technology of Shandong Province. Organized by, it aims to fully display the achievements Shandong has made in the transition from old growth drivers to new.
