Recently, the General Administration of Customs released the list of “China TOP 100 Foreign Trade Cities” and Rizhao is on the list for eight successive years.

It is known that the selection of China Top 100 Cities is completed and released by the General Administration of Customs. Source of data used on the selection are statistical data from the customs, combined with national economy data, guaranteeing a high level of reliability and authority. Standards of the selection including 25 indicators measuring competitiveness on trade level, structure, benefit, development and potential.

In recent years, adhering to “four initiatives”, Rizhao customs has been actively promoting reform of national integration of customs clearance, and applying for construction of Rizhao Comprehensive Bonded Zone. 20 items have been done, which can be classified into 10 groups on Key Works for Rizhao Customs to Accelerate the Shifts in Driving Forces and Development on Service Reform of Rizhao to fully promote a higher level opening up of Rizhao. In the first half of the year, Rizhao has realized a total volume of import and export of 48.81 billion yuan with a growth of 28% percent compared with the same period of last year. Among them, volume of export is 17.7 billion yuan and that of import is 31.11 billion yuan, increased by 44.2% and 20.3% respectively compared with the year earlier.
