The Layout and Planning (2016-2030) of Expressway and Highway Service Zones in Shandong Province finished compilation recently. According to which, Shandong is scheduled to complete the planning, construction and upgrading of its expressway service zones across the province before the end of 2018.

24 national and provincial highway service facilities, 19 service zones and 5 five parking areas, are included in the list of China’s first pilot projects.

As of the end of 2016, an accumulative amount of 100 million yuan has been invested in toilet renovation, environment improvement, parking order regulation and service upgrading of service zones in Shandong.

To build the green service areas, Shandong has set up charging piles in 89 pairs of service areas and put forward to build service brands like Qilu charming stations and Shandong Hi-speed. 111 pairs of service zones are covered with WiFi service and 90 pairs provide the third-party payment.

Besides the strengthening of service zones on expressways, Shandong has also made great efforts to promote the construction of facilities along national and provincial highways.
