Cargo spacecraft Tianzhou I met the technical standards set out by experts and passed the final round of quality inspection before leaving its manufacturer.

This marks a major step towards the docking of cargo spacecraft Tianzhou I and Tiangong II space experiment apparatus, which is expected to take place in April this year.

The fully enclosed cargo spacecraft Tianzhou I weighs 13 tons and can carry goods weighing up to six tons.

The Tianzhou I is expected to be launched by carrier rocket Long March VII in April from south China's Hainan.

The development of the Tianzhou I was completed at the Assembly Integration Test (AIT) Center of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation.

Built in 1995 and located in Tianjin, the center has witnessed the births of all the Shenzhou spaceships in China.

The AIT Center in Tianjin is the largest spacecraft assembly center in the world.
