Xia Geng likens the SME to a solid force in promoting economic development, a great source of technological innovation as well as a main part of opening-up cooperation. China-ASEAN SME Cooperation Committee was founded in Dezhou to offer SME a new docking and cooperation platform. It will certainly promote the exchange and collaboration for the small and medium enterprises of both sides to better complement each other’s advantages and realize win-win cooperation.

Xia called for more efforts made to further exchange and cooperation between Shandong and ASEAN to upgrade the cooperation form of both sides in the new era. Both sides should actively promote business communications, strengthen the role of bridge, recommend cooperative partners to enterprises and explore more cooperative opportunities. At a deeper level and wider field, cooperation between the two sides demands for more aggressive action and intensive top-level design around such fields as machinery, textile, food, building materials and new energy.

Both sides should be committed to deepening economic and trade exchange, making good use of free trade zone and building more cooperative platforms to upgrade the two sides’ cooperation to a new level.
