The inaugural ceremony of the direct flight between Jinan and Los Angeles was held on Dec. 6 in Jinan, east China’s Shandong Province. Xia Geng, vice governor of Shandong Province addressed the ceremony.

　　Xia said the opening up of Jinan-Los Angeles route is a breakthrough of the non-stop flight between the two cities. This marks a more perfect route network, richer products and new market extension of Jinan International Airport and is of great significance for the economic and social development both of Shandong and Jinan.

　　Shandong government has always attached great importance to the construction and development of Jinan Airport as well as the air transportation, said Xia. The construction of Jinan’s airport economic zone will drive up the development levels of air-transportation related economy and aviation industry and offer a broader stage for the development of Shandong’s aviation industry.

　　Xia call on Jinan Airport to seize the opportunity to deepen collaboration with domestic and abroad airlines and accelerate the establishment of a big aerial picture, located on Jinan, radiating over the country and serving the world.

　　The Flight 3U8699 took off from Jinan International Airport, marking the opening up of non-stop Jinan-Los Angeles route.
