Vocational institute in Shandong eyes international development

  The media delegation of ‘Open Shandong’ arrived at Qilu Institute of Technology on Nov. 28. Qilu Institute of Technology (formerly Xingtan College, Qufu Normal University), founded in 2005, is a comprehensive, private institute approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education. This institute, with concentration on science and engineering, offers 31 Bachelor’s degree programs (with 18 programs on science and engineering) and 32 Associated degree programs in such diverse fields as science, engineering, economics, law, management, liberal arts, and art, etc. It also offers 40 certificate programs which are recognized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China.

  Qilu Institute of Technology has ambition to be a first-class application-oriented university with distinctive feature and prominent advantages. The institute considers the strategy of internationalization as its priority, aiming to build itself a top college in the province, and a famous and influential college at home and abroad.

  To greatly promote the internationalization, a work leading group has been established. At the same time, the school of international exchange was set up, intending to propel the absorption and utilization of the excellent foreign resources. In addition, to improve its core competitiveness, Qilu Institute of Technology has formulated a set of rules and regulations as well as a series of action plans related to international development.

  Qilu Institute of Technology has conducted extensive international exchanges and cooperation in recent years. It has built cooperation with 26 colleges in such countries and regions as the U.S., Australia, Austria, Germany, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and Japan.
