Governor Guo Shuqing met with a delegation from Regione Marche, Italy in Jinan, capital of China’s Shandong province on April 12.

　　Guo welcomed the guest. He said Italy is a developed country and has made important contributions to the world culture development. China and Italy enjoy a close relationship since the ancient times. The Silk Road links the two countries as early as one thousand years ago. Regione Marche boasts advanced manufacturing and many aspects including food processing, clothing, leather manufacturing and rural tourism are worthy our learning. Shandong province is actively participating in the “Belt and Road Initiative” and there will be a wider cooperative space for the two sides. They hope to further strengthen personnel exchanges between the two sides and enrich cooperation in agriculture, trade, culture, science and technology, education and tourism, striving to make a substantive progress in bilateral cooperation.

　　The Italian delegation welcomes more Shandong enterprises to start business in Marche and will make greater efforts to promote deep-level cooperation between the two sides.
