　　On the morning of Nov.25th, two African students Lv Shuai and A’nuo arrived at Jinan Lv Opera Troupe with "TOUCH Shandong" column to experience a traditional Chinese opera——Jinan Lv Opera. As one of the eight Chinese operas, Lv Opera is the most representative local opera of Shandong province. It has a history of nearly 100 years, during which it has undergone a series of changes and evolutions.

　　Mr. Peng, director and two workers of Jinan Lv Opera Troupe introduced the history of the troupe and the great achievements they have made. According to Mr. Peng, Jinan Lv Opera Troupe was established in 1951, formerly known as "Yihe Class" and later Jinan Lv Opera Troupe. With the development of the times and society, Jinan Lv Opera Troupe innovates the opera form and has produced many modern operas such as Longquan Dream and  My Brothers and Sisters.

　　Mr. Peng proudly said: "the creation of Forced Marriage is a great success. It has been adapted as a colorful theatrical film and screened across the country by Changchun Film Studio." Hearing this, Lv Shuai and A’nuo both gave their thumbs up.

　　Legend of the City of Springs is a typical work to showcase the local cultural characteristics of Jinan city. The troupe has been invited to perform abroad many times and some of their works have been staged abroad. “Today more and more foreign friends try to know Shandong or even China though learning Shandong Lv opera”, another staff in the opera troupe said.

　　The artists of Lv Opera have made great contribution to the development of Shandong Lv Opera. Mr. Peng said at his age sometimes he had to rehearse five or six operas one day but he had been accustomed to it. He hopes people at different ages and from different countries will study and understand Shandong’s local operas. He also wishes Lv Opera will have a brilliant future with constant development and inheritance.
