The second phase of ‘Cultural Heritage Protection’ reporting activity concludes

  The second stage of the “Cultural Heritage Protection” media tour jointly hosted by the Publicity Department of CPC Shandong Provincial Party Committee, the Information Office of Shandong Provincial People’s Government and Shandong Provincial Administration of Cultural Heritage, and exclusively organized by sdchina.com, is successfully concluded on October 30. Over 30 reporters, editors and photographers from key central news media, Hong Kong media and major news media of Shandong province conducted an intensive coverage in Weifang and Zibo.

  2015 (Jinan) International Heritage Preservation Equipment Expo, Shandong joint law enforcement special campaign for cultural heritage protection in the maritime space and the meeting of Shandong implementing “One Belt One Road” strategy and promoting the application for the list of World Heritage of “Maritime Silk Road” were also included.

  Focusing on the cultural heritage protection, the result of the first national mobile archaeological survey and the rural memory project, representative places such as the site of Nanjiaochang aquavit workshop, Zhaizi Gu Village, Zhoucun Avenue and Lijia Chuang Village were chosen to conduct interviews. To conduct an all-round, multi-angle and three-dimensional report of the activity, news manuscripts, photos and videos have been published on newspapers and magazines, television, news websites as well as microblog and WeChat.   Key central media and major media of Shandong province conducted series of report of the activity. The activity also aroused the concern of other domestic media and relevant news were reprinted by websites such as people.cn.com, haiwainet.cn, china.org.cn, etc.

  Photographers of sdphoto.com.cn were invited to take part in the activity. The two photographers took a total of more than 2300 photos during the activity, leaving a rich image data of Shandong’s cultural heritage protection.

  Aiming at the implementation of President Xi Jinping’s major statements and spirit on the preservation of cultural relics as well as Shandong’s strategic deployment of the construction of a leading province in economy and culture, the media tour showcased Shandong’s abundant cultural heritage resources and promoted the measures, highlights and achievements in terms of the application and protection as well as the inheritance and development of cultural relics, which is of great significance to the improvement of the public’s consciousness of cultural heritage protection and the development of cultural relics protection.
