Cultural heritage protection media tour concludes in Shandong

  The “Cultural Heritage Protection National Media Tour in Shandong Province”, jointly hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Shandong Provincial Party Committee, the Information Office of the CPC Shandong Provincial People’s Government and Shandong Administration of Cultural Heritage, and organized by sdchina.com, was concluded successfully on June 16. More than 30 reporters and editors from key central, provincial and Hong Kong media and photographers from sdphoto conducted a three-day interview in Qufu, Zoucheng, Zaozhuang and Tai’an.

  The media delegation visited typical cultural heritages including the museum groups in Shandong Jianzhu University, national archaeological site park of the ancient city of the state of Lu, Kongfu cultural relic archives, Temple of Yan Hui, Shangjiushan Village in Zoucheng, Xinglongzhuang Village, Taoshan Folk Custom Museum and Dajinkou Town, with focus on Shandong’s cultural heritage protection, the “rural memeory” project and the first moveable cultural relics census.

  sdchina.com opens official websites in four languages, Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean. As of June 16, a total of more than 260 articles have been published and reprinted, among which 60 articles are written in foreign language. During the activity, sdchina.com makes full use of Weibo and WeChat to publicize the activity, with a pageview of 260 thousand on Sina weibo.

  During the activity, central media such as Xinhua, China Daily and Chinanews and key provincial news websites conducted real-time report, while dzwww.com and iqilu.com designed online features for the activity. Shandong Radio-television station launched a special report and broadcast the activity for three days. Dazhong Daily newspaper reported the Chinese Cultural Heritage Day and Shandong’s relics protection situation on its front-page. Other newspapers and new websites invited to the activity also published relevant articles which have gained media’s comprehensive attention.

  The coverage activity of “cultural heritage protection” is divided into two stages. The first stage contains interview in Qufu, Zoucheng, Zaozhuang and Tai’an, while in the second stage, media delegation will go to Zibo and Weifang for an intensive coverage.
